Transportation Clerk

Position Summary:

 

 

 

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Senior Manager(s) of Transportation and corporate planning group of FedEx SmartPost headquarters.  Verify third party contractor invoices for accuracy, troubleshooting as needed via telephone and electronic mail contact with contractors.  Manually log invoice information into a database for payment and additional coordination with Accounting Department.  Prepare weekly and monthly roll-up reports reflecting status of invoices.  Track third party contractor deliveries.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

? HS Diploma or equivalent.  Business school diploma or certificate is preferred.

? Good communications skills in written and verbal form.

? Analytical and computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Access.  Expertise in Microsoft Excel preferred.

? Experience working in a transportation/warehouse environment is ideal.

? Carrier experience preferred.
