Transportation Service Rep - Hartford, CT

Coinstar is looking for a full-time, CDL qualified, Transportation Service Representative to transport product for approximately 75 coin counting machines in the greater Hartford, CT area.  A full job description is below.  Salary starts at $14.50 to $15.50/hour based on experience, plus a full benefits package and bonus opportunity.  A company truck and fuel is provided to drive approx. 1,000 miles per week (no overnight travel).  An active CDL (class "B" or "A") in the state of CT is REQUIRED.  Please do not apply if you do not have an active CDL - thanks.


Role & Responsibilities:
This person contributes to Coinstar's success by:
Providing transportation and coin/bin handling services for an assigned group of Coinstar machines. Responding to customer needs as directed by the Transportation Supervisor or Help Desk/Answering Service.  Servicing and maintaining products built and placed by Coinstar.

Summary of key responsibilities:
Provide routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs, using the simple tools provided in the Service Representative toolkit.  Work with a minimum of direct supervision as requested by the Help Desk, Regional Manager, and Field Engineer.
Provide equipment service at customer locations as required.  Service will include preventative maintenance and basic testing.
Properly maintain assigned PC/desktop computer, pager, and company vehicle (if provided).
Complete timesheets and limited paperwork as required by the position function or as requested.
Display maturity and judgment in time management and expense control.
Report quality problems and other technical problems.
Interface effectively with other departments, supervisors/managers, and Field Service Engineers to resolve customer problems and situations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager and Field Engineers.  In certain markets this position may provide coin & cash handling and transportation responsibilities; a commercial drivers license (CDL)/commercial vehicle medical certification maybe required in those markets.

As a representative of Coinstar, promote and maintain good customer relations through high standards of personal appearance, ethical behavior, maturity and good judgment.
Must have a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Ability to lift 85 lbs.
The employee must frequently (up to 30-40 times per day) pull and push coin bins weighing up to 600lbs using a specially designed hand truck, in markets where coin handling is required.

Reports to:  Operations Supervisor 

Education:
High School Degree or GED required.
Preferable Qualifications & Experience:
1-3 years providing transportation of goods or services.
1-3 years of customer service/customer relations.
Experience with electro-mechanical or computer equipment preferred.
Commercial Driver's license required.
