Transportation Service Supervisor

The Central Ohio Transit Authority will be the transportation provider for central Ohio with safe, reliable, convenient, affordable and user-friendly transportation for every resident and visitor.

We are searching for a Transportation Service Supervisor to be responsible for managing on-time, scheduled bus service, and daily, direct supervision of all motor coach operators. Duties will include investigating incidents/accidents and directs COTA personnel at the scene of an accident. Ensures safe and efficient transportation service through coaching, counseling and disciplining of all operators. Responsible for on-time dispatching of operators to ensure efficient delivery of scheduled service, all regular, extra, and 'report' assignments on a daily basis in adherence to the contractual provisions, and through the use of independent judgment.

Qualifications include having a High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferably an Associates Degree in Business?Administration, Transportation and Logistics or related field. Two years experience in scheduled transportation or dispatch operations. A viable combination of experience and education will be considered. Have also have knowledge of transportation, principles of supervision and interpersonal communications. Must be willing to work any shift or day as required.
