Transportation & Communication Specialists Gap Inc. North American Transportation has two opportunities at our Erlanger, KY location (about 10 miles south of downtown Cincinnati).  We are looking to find a Transportation Specialist for our 3rd Party Logistics Operations at our Erlanger, KY location (about 10 miles south of downtown Cincinnati).  This position will perform the day-to-day functions in transportation operations. This role will ensure that all Gap, Inc shipments; meet their delivery requirements. This individual will pro actively manage any exception shipments and provide feedback to Transportation Business Partners, Corporate, Third Party Providers and Distribution Centers.  This position also assists in the execution of the best-cost transportation service alternatives to meet timely deliveries.

 We are also looking for a Communications Specialist.  This position will provide superior customer service by initiating pro active communication regarding delivery issues to our retail stores.  It also provides coverage to the 1-700-SERVICE line to record, investigate, and resolve delivery issues reported from the field.  This role will educate and communicate the delivery process/procedures of the target delivery program.  This person will work closely with Transportation operations, DCs/CDs, third party service providers, corporate Planning, Operations, Communications and Brand managers to support the stores on all Distribution and Transportation issues.  This individual will produce and administer qualitative and quantitative reports which monitor and track Transportation customer service levels; specifically, ensure that customer?s expectations are exceeded 100% of the time.

 

Minimum Qualifications Are:
BA/BS degree or equivalent retail and/or logistic and shipping experience required.
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook required.
Ability to carry out responsibilities in a stressful work environment punctuated by heavy shipping volume.
Non-Traditional Work Hours to include nights, weekends and holidays.  The Transportation Department operates on a 7-day work week with an extended day and hour schedule.
Minimal travel to shipping/receiving sites and training could be required.
