Truck Driver - CDL
Drives truck to destination. Prepares receipts for load picked up.
Communicate with Operations Manager after each delivery or pick-up.
Insure all delivery and return tickets are signed.
Responsible for counts when loading or unloading.
Maintain the vehicle assigned to him in proper working condition and good appearance. Report repairs that may be needed to supervisor on a daily basis.
Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
Inspect rental equipment when making a pickup from customer location to inform customer of any damages, missing equipment, or excessive time spent on jobsite that may pass added costs to customer.
Perform duties in the yard or warehouse when not operating a vehicle.
Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
Maintain Vehicle Inspection Reports daily
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have Commercial Drivers License Class A and abide by DOT regulations if operating a vehicle that is 26,000 lbs. or greater.
