Trucking company dispatcher

A leading Chicagoland Intermodal drayage company is seeking full time dispatchers to dispatch a fleet of 25 trucks.

We are a rapidly expanding company that has been in business for over eight years and have a steady stream of accounts. We specialize in intermodal trucking throughout the Midwest. We have a mix of our own tractors and owner-operators many of whom have been with our company since inception. We have our own yard(s)in the Chicago area. We are centrally located N-S, E-W,(Vicinity of I290/First Avenue).

What we are seeking:
An experienced dispatcher who has the ability to self initiate and follow practices that management currently has in place. An ability to multi-task, and motivate drivers is also necessary.

Knowledge of dispatching software, use of rudimentary software is necessary.

This is an industry specific position, so please respond accordingly. Knowledge of Chicagoland railyards, container yards, industry specific equipment (chassis, container types, etc.) is a precondition. The ability to logically (combining moves) dispatch is of primary importance and management is willing to properly compensate the correct individual.

We have openings for two positions. One with hours from 6AM to 3PM and another from 1PM to 10PM.
