About the Opportunity
The Packaging Store is an extremely busy, fast paced warehouse, looking for a customer service oriented, and energetic hard worker. Heavy lifting and a clean DMV required; forklift certification a plus. Strong telephone, organizational, and people skills a must. Carpentry or construction skills and knowledge of the moving or freight forwarding environment preferred, but not required.

Duties:

Warehouse organization and equipment maintenance. Maintain and follow procedures and system standards. Pick up of shipments at commercial and residential locations and driving a truck or van.Use of computer programs to create reports.  Proper packaging and shipping of items, including making customized boxes and crates and selecting the proper cushioning material. Operate a forklift to safely and efficiently load and unload trucks. Operate power tools. Participate in all company training. Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures. Dependable, attention to detail, creative. Other moving and warehouse duties as required.

Qualifications:

 High School Diploma.Moving or warehouse experience preferred.Track record of maintaining quality standards for the team and implementing quality processes. Capable of managing people and work. Skills include planning, developing policies and delegation. Experience managing a team through delegation and feedback. Exhibits the ability to interact effectively with various types of people. Ability to expand job responsibilities, suggests improvements, and collaborates with others to generate ideas and improve processes. Experience in informing customers, vendors, peers, and direct reports on their information needs. Effectively maintains job flow and pick-up schedules. Clean driving record.Safely uses power tools.
