Warehouse Manager – Achievement Oriented

The Silk Trading Co. is one of America?s premiere sources for fine furnishings for the home, including window coverings, bedding, upholstered furniture, casegoods and accessories. Our diverse supply chain supports both our own exclusive stores, as well as sales to many well-known, large-scale retailers of domestic furnishing.  We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic Warehouse Manager. Located in our Culver City (Los Angeles,) California headquarters, this individual will manage a staff of twelve, working in a one-shift operation in our 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

? Supervise staff of twelve - recruit and train warehouse staff, as needed

? Responsible for all warehouse operations

? Source and negotiate domestic carriers

? Maintain, evaluate and procure facilities and equipment

? Quality Assurance

? OSHA / Safety

? Inventory control

? Create and maintain warehouse SOPs

 

Experience Required:

 

? Minimum 4 years warehouse manager experience

? Experience sourcing and negotiating rates for Express, LTL, & FTL

? Ability to understand and implement routing guides of major U.S. retailers

? Excellent leadership skills

? Computer literate, with ERP experience

? Excellent people skills

? Very organized, with ability to multi-task
