Warehouse Operations Project Manager

We are now accepting r?sum??s for the position of Warehouse Operations Project Manager.  Based out of our Suwanee, Georgia, distribution facility, this position will:  Provide leadership for the achievement of goals and objectives through the application of strategic planning, continuous improvement strategies, and effective management of projects; Keep alert for new ideas and improvements in operating methods and procedures; Make recommendations to improve warehouse layout, workflow, operating costs and customer service, for consideration and approval; Execute process enhancement initiatives at various warehouse facilities as discussed and agreed to with local management; Work directly with warehouse management team to develop, test, and implement process changes; Formulate mid to long range planning strategies; Employing operational information technologies and utilizing them to drive competitive advantages; Working in conjunction with warehouse facilities to complete on-going projects as necessary; Serving as a fill-in manager in various facilities for an extended period of time; Leads and participates in special committees, task groups, projects, and audits.  The successful candidate will possess:  Working knowledge of warehouse departments; ability to interact with all levels; proficiency in all Microsoft applications; project management experience; ability to travel 90% of the time.  A Bachelor?s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field and Six Sigma/lean Manufacturing experience is preferred.  Interested candidates should e-mail their resume? along with salary requirements to bldcjobs@yahoo.com .  Fisher Scientific Company is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
