Responsibilities are to supervise all operational aspects of the hauling division. Specific duties: dispatch, routes, customer service, budget, training, scheduling, attendance, evaluations, discipline, accident/injury investigations, interviewing/hiring, road safety, truck inspections and more. Also maintains proper records and files (personnel, vehicle maintenance, etc.), ensures all compliance goals are met or exceeded, runs routes as needed, and works with other departments.
Requires knowledge of the waste industry and hauling operations, 2+ years transportation/fleet management experience, thorough understanding of routing/contract requirements and experience/knowledge of D.O.T. and OSHA regulations. Preferred qualifications include a valid Class B CDL and DOT Physical card (or obtain both within 90 days). Candidates must have strong supervisory, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, no DUIs within the last 5 years and 3 or less moving violations within the last 2 years.
