Route Auditor

From Everyday Collection To Environmental Protection, Think Green, Think Waste Management!

General Summary

Route Auditors will be responsible for maximizing operating and revenue efficiencies by identifying weight, time and service improvement opportunities, evaluating the effectiveness of route sequence, documenting route and customer specific issues and ensuring follow-through with Analysts & District team.

Essential Duties
?PIn-cab ride-along with Waste Management drivers on existing routes to determine the effectiveness of route sequencing, document specific route and customer data.
?PWhile on route, identify weight, time, accessibility, risk and other operating and revenue improvement opportunities.
?PShare ideas to increase route productivity while promoting safe and profitable service.
?PWork with the Market Area General Manager, BIP Analysts, District Managers & fellow Route Auditors to effectively audit routes to uncover improvement opportunities.
?P Effectively interact and work with Fleet Optimization Manager (FOM), Sales and operations managers to review and promote corrective actions.
?PComply and ensure adherence to Waste Management??s safe operating standards and regulations.
?PAttend and contribute to periodic driver/safety meetings to maintain a favorable working relationship among all employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency.
?PPromote safe, friendly work environment with employees, customers and vendors ?V acting in a constructive and service-oriented manner.

?PWork with the Market Area General Manager, BIP Analysts, District Managers & fellow Route Auditors to effectively audit routes to uncover improvement opportunities.

?PSupport analysis and review of the day-to-day operations of the District.

?PProvide direct support and leadership in the event of a natural disaster, labor issue or as requested.

?P?n?n?n?n?n Perform other duties as assigned.




Minimum Experience/Education Requirements
?PAssociates Degree
?PMust possess good working knowledge of MS Office computer programs to include Excel.
?PMust have the ability to assimilate complete information, data, etc, from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
?PMust have demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills through work experience ?V preference given to those with experience in advanced education, career experience in Transportation, Dispatch or Logistics.
?PExceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize departmental functions in order to meet due dates and deadlines.
?PMust be willing to work various work hours beginning as early as 2:00am.
?PMust be able to ride in vehicle for up to 12 hours and sit at a desk for up to 4 or more hours per day with or without reasonable accommodations.
?PWork experience in problem solving and conflict resolution.

?PExcellent verbal and written communications skills.
















Preferred Qualifications
?PWork experience in Transportation, Dispatch or Logistics preferred.
?PMust have quick problem solving ability.
